Vaughn Hosts Spring Honor’s Ceremony
On Tuesday, February 15, students, faculty and friends gathered in the main lobby to recognize the academic achievements of Vaughn’s undergraduate and graduate students. The spring honors ceremony allows each department to highlight student achievements during the fall 2021 semester.
To begin the ceremony, Dr. Paul LaVergne, vice president of academic affairs welcomed the students and their families to the event. Following LaVergne’s address Dr. Peter Canellis, faculty senate president; Dr. Hossein Rahemi, chair of engineering and technology department; and President DeVivo presented students with individual certificates to recognize their achievements. Students receiving the faculty’s list award achieved a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.67; dean’s list award recipients achieved a grade point average of 3.68 and 3.84; and president’s list award recipients achieved a grade point average of 3.85 and 4.0.
The next honors award ceremony will be held in the fall of 2022, which will highlight student achievements for the spring semester. To view the event program, click here.
