In March, more than 240 students and nearly 50 employer companies filled the hangar to attend Vaughn’s spring career fair hosted by career services. Employers offered students information about internship and career opportunities available to them now and in the near future. Among the companies in attendance were JetBlue, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Delta Tech Ops, Con Edison, Lufthansa, Atlas Air, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Boeing and Marotta Controls. Additionally, the office of career services hosted a virtual engineering employee engagement day on March 8 with Amazon and Amtrack with engineering students in attendance.

“The support from the Vaughn Community was overwhelmingly great as usual,” said Chaundra Daniels, director of career services. “With 249 students and 48 employers served, the overall sentiment from both employer and student surveys was exceptional as everyone was pleased with the outcome.”

Of the employers in attendance, 13 were participating in Vaughn’s career fair for the first time. Some of those employers include Magellan Aerospace, Allegheny County Airport Authority, West Star Aviation, Collins Aerospace, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Aero Instruments & Avionics, Inc.

The office of career services will host another career fair in the fall semester.
