Vaughn Hosts Fall Honors Ceremony
On Thursday, October 5, students, faculty, family and friends gathered in the main lobby to recognize the academic achievements of Vaughn’s undergraduate and graduate students. The fall honors ceremony allows each department to highlight student achievements during the spring 2023 semester.
To begin the ceremony Dr. Paul LaVergne, vice president of academic affairs welcomed the students and their families to the event. Following LaVergne’s address Dr. Peter Canellis, faculty senate president; Jonathan Sypeck, assistant professor of the engineering and technology department; and President DeVivo presented students with individual certificates to recognize their achievements. Students receiving the faculty’s list award achieved a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.67; dean’s list award recipients achieved a grade point average of 3.68 and 3.84; and president’s list award recipients achieved a grade point average of 3.85 and 4.0.
The next honors awards ceremony will be held in the spring of 2024, which will highlight student achievements for the spring semester. To view the event program, click here.
