VAUGHN COLLEGE CELEBRATED THE CLASS OF 2020 AT 88TH VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT PREQUEL
Vaughn College virtually celebrated its 88th Commencement on Sunday, May 17. More than 1,000 families and friends tuned into the Zoom hosted virtual prequel ceremony.
The conferring of bachelor’s, master’s and associate degrees in engineering, technology, management and aviation began with an introduction from Dr. Paul LaVergne, vice president of academic affairs followed by a welcome from College President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo.
David Garrison, chief executive officer of Endeavor Air, delivered the commencement address. Garrison retains more than 27 years of experience within Delta TechOps. His diverse leadership experiences include leading engine and component maintenance, engineering and most recently the materials, planning and logistics organizations. He also currently serves as senior vice president of Delta Connection and Delta Global Services at Delta Air Lines.
New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul also participated in the farewell address.
President DeVivo closed the commencement ceremony by thanking the graduates for their contributions to the institution and wishing them well in the next chapter of their journey.
