In May, the engineering and technology department hosted the 16th annual technology day in E101/103 highlighting the departments accomplishments and new offerings. Attendees included advisory board members, alumni, trustees, students, staff and faculty. The event provided students presenting research papers with an opportunity to win the “Best Paper and Presentation” award.

The top three design papers were selected by industry advisory members. The first place design paper and presentation winner went to, “Affordable PLA Sheet Press Machine Design and Implementation” by Mahin Bhuyan ’24, Kenny Harris ’24, Gordon Qian ’24 and Brandon Cuevas ’24.

“The engineering and technology department and the College enjoy celebrating student achievements and sharing that with the industries we serve,” said Dr. Hossein Rahemi, department chair.
