Second Open House of Fall Season Brings More Than 600 Guests to Campus
Vaughn College’s second fall open house saw more than 200 prospective students and more than 600 family members and guests at the College on Saturday, November 18. The guests gathered on the New York City campus to hear about program offerings and the College’s “futureproof” career prospects.
After an introduction from admissions representatives, students and guests were invited to attend academic sessions that serve as an introduction to Vaughn’s degree programs. Students learned about offerings in aircraft operations, air traffic control, engineering, airport management and more. Following the sessions, guests were invited to the College’s hangar to learn about campus life offerings including student clubs and organizations and participate in a scholarship raffle.
Admissions and financial aid counselors were on hand to answer any questions families might have about the admissions and registration process and to help them apply, and career services representatives spoke to guests about Vaughn graduates’ career prospects, and about the College’s reputation for student success. In early 2017, Vaughn was named the #1 institution in the US for upward mobility in a study published in The New York Times.
“Our goal is to provide students with a lifetime of opportunity through a transformational education,” said Associate Vice President of Enrollment Celso Alvarez. “And that starts at events like these. We’re very excited to see so many students interested in preparing for their future with a Vaughn education.”
Vaughn will host its next open house sessions in the spring.
