Vaughn’s Robotics team hosted the VEX Regional Qualifier on Saturday, January 13. This year 15 high schools came to compete and showcase their robotic designs and innovation in the “In The Zone” challenge. Teams arrived on campus at 9. a.m. with check-in and robot inspections followed by skills challenges and qualification rounds.

“We put a lot of work into the design of our robots and enjoy when we get to learn and grow in these competitions,” said Cheyenne, team captain from St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

After a long day the tournament champions were team Overclock from KG Computech. Finalists included Kennedy Catholic High School, The Harvey School and Friends Academy and special awarding followed the final matches.
