Guest Speaker Encouraged Inclusion during Black History Month
In honor of Black History Month the student affairs department and student government association invited entertainer and guest speaker David Horne on Tuesday, February 26. Horne encouraged students to take advantage of all aspects of student activities while speaking about diversity and inclusion in technology and aerospace.
The hour-long presentation mixed motivational speaking, comedy and a music performance in the main lobby. Attendees actively participated and engaged with the speaker and fellow students.
“I’m an engineer student myself and I feel it’s important to get involved in clubs and activities outside of academics,” said Horne.
Vaughn College proudly embraces diversity by respecting it in all its dimensions. The College fosters a community that invites and is inclusive of every student, faculty, staff and guest.
