Fall Internship Fair Provides New Opportunities to Students
On Thursday, November 16 Vaughn welcomed new and returning recruiters for the annual fall internship fair. More than 25 companies sent representatives to speak to students and extend the opportunity to learn about and explore pre-career opportunities. The turnout included more than 75 students who visited and networked and spoke to recruiters at the fair.
Sean Manning, internship coordinator, was happy about the number of students that stopped to meet with potential employers. “I encourage our students to always be active in finding potential internship opportunities before graduating,” said Manning. “It is very crucial for post-graduate preparation.”
Allegiant Airlines headquarters is in Las Vegas and attended the internship fair for the first time. Sindi West, talent advisor, was seeking engineering, and intelligence analyst candidates for their internship program. “Vaughn students are very professional and I’m impressed that the students have been so open to possibly relocate from Queens if needed,” said West.
The next recruitment fair will be the spring career fair on April 5, 2018.
