Vaughn’s motorsports club welcomed its first guest speaker Dean Case, communications consultant for MOTIVO Engineering at the end of March. He is an automotive industry veteran with motorsports management, engineering and professional communications experience from Mazda R&D of North America, Ford Motor Company and Nissan North America.

Club president Samantha Vitez introduced Dean Case into his presentation on the business of motorsports, the politics of alternative fuels and notes for aspiring engineers. Case went over moments in his career history and gave advice to students on preparedness to land the opportunities.

“I can recall a time when I had job offers from three major companies,” Said Case. “If you go into an automotive interview, you better know who the sponsors are and the owners of the companies.”
