Vaughn in the News Vaughn on the Frontlines of Training New Air Traffic Controllers Vaughn College recently celebrated its entrance into the Federal Aviation Administration’s Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative which will help solve the nationwide air traffic controller shortage by enabling controllers to start on-the-job training more quickly. Vaughn students will be able to finish their training on-campus as opposed to relocating to the FAA's Training Academy in Oklahoma City. With nearly 4,000 controllers needed nationwide, the program is making this career path more attainable. Watch latest media coverage

Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education recognized Vaughn College as an “Opportunity College and University” for its ability to serve a higher proportion of under-resourced students and produce higher post-graduation earnings.
***New York City Economic Development Corporation, November 2024, "Academia in New York City: Shaping the Future of NYC’s Economy.”
*Outcomes include data within one year of graduation for graduates who reported via survey. There were a total of 361 reported graduates in 2023. 239 reported an outcome for a 66% response rate. The 2023 graduate class includes September 2022, December 2022 and May 2023 graduates.
