Teaching Futureproof Airport Managers

The airport management degree program was designed with a focus on hands-on experience. Students will learn about the various subjects in an airport environment, all of which are connected to management. This includes airfield safety, emergency planning and control, ecosystem management and the overall scope of airport management.

WHAT YOU'LL STUDY

The airport management degree program at Vaughn College was developed with a strong career focus. The courses you take and experiences you will be exposed to will help you become a successful airport manager. Because the field of airport management is unique in that it must be rooted in the discipline of general business but driven by the high-tech world of aviation and transportation, we constantly evolve our courses to meet these changing needs and systems. Dive into our courses―airport planning, management, business and finance, control of ground vehicles, communication systems, airport security, fire and rescue services, and airport maintenance courses―with full confidence that each will prepare you to be a successful airport manager.

You will also have the opportunity to explore a variety of electives, including supply chain management, fixed-based operator operation as well as other technical, aviation, and management courses. You can pursue electives of your individual passion and interest. And, you can also complete the dispatch program or air traffic control program if you choose. We proudly offer a wide range of programs for students to choose from based on their unique career goals and interests.

Vaughn graduates have pursued a variety of airport management jobs with the education and experience our campus and staff have provided them. Your airport management degree will prepare you for careers at the entry- and mid-levels in the airport industry and related fields.

Graduates of our airport management degree program have gone on to become supervisors’ agents, safety managers, materials specialists, human resources agents and operations supervisors. The extensive network of alumni and industry professionals has allowed Vaughn students to obtain experience both during their coursework in internships, as well as in full-time jobs shortly after finishing their degrees.
