Last month, Vaughn College alumni, students, staff and friends had the opportunity to travel to Citi Field and watch the New York Mets play the Washington Nationals in a pivotal game in the closing weeks of the regular season as the Mets battled for a playoff berth. The Vaughn community gathered before the game to take photos on the field with their friends, family and coworkers. Additionally, those in attendance received free reversible Mets hoodies upon their entrance into the stadium. Seats were in prime home run territory and attendees had a front row seat to pitchers warming up in the bullpen.

“One-hundred Vaughn College faithful Mets fans got together to see the Mets dominate the Nationals,” said Stephen DeSalvo, assistant vice president and chief development officer of the office of institutional advancement and engagement. “Alumni, students, staff and friends of the College made wonderful memories together that night both on the field and in the stands.”
