In June, July and August, the office of student affairs hosted three student orientation sessions to welcome the newest members to the Vaughn College community. Faculty and staff were on hand to review program specific goals, assist students in accessing their email, systems and software and help acclimate them to campus.

The orientation sessions kicked off with a welcome session, followed by students being separated into different groups where students learned important information regarding financial planning, acquiring their student ID and more. The second part of orientation day featured the overnight enhanced experience, where new students enjoyed recreational and social activities. Orientation concluded the following morning with breakfast in the cafeteria.

“We are so excited to welcome our newest students to Vaughn,” said Elaine White, dean of students. “The new students are enthusiastic about starting or continuing their education with us and we are likewise enthusiastic about welcoming what will be a robust incoming class.”

“It’s awesome that we are a hot school for the educational preparation for aviation, management, technology and engineering industries,” said Jared Martino, coordinator for student engagement and activities. “I am proud to work at an institution that is preparing the future workforce of tomorrow.”
