Students Receive Certificates at Vaughn’s Fall Honors Awards Ceremony
Vaughn College’s top scholars were recognized in the Academic Honors Awards Ceremony on Thursday, September 19 in the main lobby. Honors for the Spring 2019 Faculty, Dean and President’s List were given for academic achievements through achieving a high-grade point average. Parents and families cheered as recent graduates and current students received recognition from chairs of the departments.
“We always look forward to honoring students who influence their peers with hard work,” said Dr. Paul Lavergne, vice president of academic affairs.
Following Lavergne’s address Peter Russo, chair of aviation department; Dr. Hossein Rahemi, chair of engineering and technology department; and Margaret Ducharme, chair of the arts and sciences department, presented students with individual certificates to recognize their achievements. Students whose grade point averages were between 3.50 and 3.67 (Faculty’s List); 3.68 and 3.84 (Dean’s List); and 3.85 and 4.0 (President’s List) made up the group being honored.
