Vaughn College engineering and technology students won the first place award in the Dassault Systemes’ Community of Experts (COE) Annual Experience and TechniFair in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 24. Atif Saeed ’20, Ryan Tang Dan ’17, and Chamathke Perera ’19 presented their project “Smart CATIA Based Drone Design for AHS Challenge“ during the student e-poster session.

The project demonstrated the use of both CATIA and SolidWorks in the frame design process, as well as the pickup and delivery mechanism for their manual and autonomous drones used in the American Helicopter Society (AHS) Micro Air Vehicle student challenge.
