We want to let you know that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be posting two separate Air Traffic Control Specialist-Trainee job vacancy announcements on USAJobs later this month. From June 19 through June 26, 2018, the FAA will post a localized job vacancy announcement to fill positions at New York TRACON (N90) in Westbury, New York.   Applicants will need to prove they reside within 50 miles of the New York TRACON (N90) location as a qualification for this announcement.

From June 27 through July 2, 2018, the FAA will post the general vacancy announcement open to all US citizens.  Graduates of Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI) programs and military veterans who met the Pool 1 requirements may apply to Pool 1 and bypass the biographical assessment.  Please keep in mind that to complete Vaughn College’s Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) requirements, ATC300 must be satisfactorily passed after graduating from a Vaughn approved AT-CTI program of study.

Please refer to page 104 of the 2017-2018 catalog available at www.vaughn.edu for more program information. CTI graduates who are interested in applying will need to give themselves enough time to complete the application process. USAJobs now requires applicants to create a new account through login.gov to sign in to USAJobs before they can begin the electronic application. Graduates who apply will need their transcripts and a letter that certifies that the college graduate successfully completed all necessary air traffic control basic training courses and has already graduated from Vaughn.
