Vaughn Community Gets Up-Close Look at Space Shuttle
Vaughn College students and staff received a rare opportunity on Friday, June 2 to watch the space shuttle Enterprise as it received final preparations before being transferred to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. About a dozen members of the Vaughn community were in attendance at Kennedy Airport to celebrate the formal retirement of Enterprise, the first space shuttle orbiter.
Vaughn students, faculty and staff also received an up-close view of Marine One, the Marine Corps helicopter that on Monday (June 4) will transport President Barack Obama from the airport to Manhattan. For more pictures, see the photo album on Vaughn College’s Facebook page, linked here.
