Vaughn College takes First Place at Fall Robotics Challenge
Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology’s (VCAT) robotics team came in first at the fall challenge VEX Robotics Competition hosted at the College on Saturday, November 8, 2014.
The day consisted of a series of competitive games featuring teams from several colleges and universities, including Vaughn, NYIT, NJIT, and BNS, a team comprised of members from multiple institutions in the Worcester area, competing in live Skyrise events.
Students from more than a dozen high schools were also on hand competing and watching the games to learn about college-level robotics. Vaughn President Dr. Sharon DeVivo, along with faculty, staff and students were also in attendance to cheer on the club.
The VCAT robotics team will be participating in three upcoming VEX competitions to secure a place in the upcoming world championships.
