Vaughn Named Top Regional College
U.S. News & World Report has published their annual rankings of colleges and universities and once again recognized Vaughn in the first-tier of best colleges in the north, for the sixth out of seventh year.
“Our number one priority is serving our students by providing a high-quality education, engaging faculty and student support and retention services,” said Vaughn College President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo. “We are always pleased to be acknowledged in these rankings and receive recognition for the good work we accomplish all year long.”
One of the ranking variables examined is the predicted versus actual graduation rate. If the actual graduation rate was higher than the predicted rate, then the College is enhancing achievement. Vaughn once again exceeded the predicted graduation rate as calculated by U.S. News.
The College also ranked number one for racial, and economic diversity in the North serving the largest group of Pell eligible students, proportionality; and once again ranked as one of the “Best Colleges for Veterans.”
