Vaughn College Career Services department manages a private job board website, Handshake (joinhandshake.com), where students and alumni can post resumes and apply for positions. Employers registered on the site can post jobs as well as search and review student and alumni resumes for potential candidates who might be a fit for open positions.
Recruiters regularly visit Vaughn for events such as Employer Engagement Days. They make virtual and on campus presentations, host information tables, speak to students in classroom settings, hold workshops and interview students for job and internship positions.
Part-time employment opportunities off-campus are available for students through various organizations that have a relationship with Vaughn.
Vaughn College’s career services department employs a variety of tools to assist students and alumni in their development as professionals. The department meets and communicates with individuals through appointments, e-mail, phone and Zoom conversations, providing information, editing and reviewing resumes and helping with the job and internship search process. The department conducts workshops on résumé writing, interviewing skills and professional conference preparation. It organizes Employment Engagement Days in the fall and spring. The department also networks with organizations and companies on behalf of Vaughn students for job and internship opportunities.
