Craig Hauser
Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs

Role in Student Affairs:
Craig oversees the smooth functioning of the Student Affairs team. He is also responsible for the development, supervision and evaluation of offices assigned to the area of student affairs; the development and implementation of housing policy; the development, interpretation, and enforcement of the College's educational community standards; the creation of programming for traditional, non-traditional, residential and commuter students; and the oversight of the new residence hall.

Background:
Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Craig has also received his Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Interesting Fact:
Prior to coming to Vaughn College, Craig sailed around the world on Semester at Sea and visited Puerto Rico, Brazil, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Burma, Vietnam, China, Japan, Croatia, Italy, Amsterdam, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Norway, Ireland, Spain, Greece and Paris.


Kalli Koutsoutis
Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations

Role in Student Affairs:
Kalli oversees the career development office; she is responsible for helping to increase the number of companies that offer scholarships, internships and employment opportunities to Vaughn students; other responsibilities include outreach and communication with alumni through an on-line newsletter, semi-annual magazine and networking events; in addition Kalli is responsible for administration of all federal, state and private grants at the College.

Background:
Kalli holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a concentration in French and a minor in Italian, and German from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Interesting Fact:
Prior to coming to Vaughn College eight years ago, Kalli lived in Athens, Greece and worked for the University of Indianapolis, Athens Campus as Director of Student Affairs.


Philip Meade
Director of Career Services

Role in Student Affairs:
Manages the career services office - he is responsible for helping to train students and alumni in all aspects of conducting a professional and effective job search. The career service office assists both students and alumni with discovering what career opportunities exist for them and how to best pursue those opportunities. One of the most important roles Phil plays is to meet one-on-one with students and alumni to address their individual career plans and needs. Additionally, the career services office offer internships, full and part-time employment opportunities for Vaughn students and alumni.

Background:
Phil holds a Master and Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics with a concentration in Public Administration from St. John's University in New York. He has 5 years experience as a corporate recruiter and recruiting strategist in addition to 15 years of academic career services experience

Interesting Fact:
Phil has run the New York City Marathon twice once in 1995 and most recently in 2009 with a friend to raise money for the Children's Tumor Foundation.


Kamla Holland
Assistant Director of Student Services

Role in Student Affairs:
Kamla advises all international students and helps students find housing. She also provides students with services such as College I.D. cards, parking permits, lockers, and e-mail accounts. Kamla also helps students with their immunization records and finding health insurance. Additionally, Kamla coordinates large events.

Background:
Kamla holds an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration from Queensborough Community College in Bayside, N.Y. as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from York College in Jamaica, N.Y.

Interesting Fact:
Kamla was born in Jamaica, N.Y. In her free time, Kamla enjoys arts and crafts, and gardening.


Amy Mulligan
Assistant Director of Student Activities and First Year Experience

Role in Student Affairs:
Amy coordinates, evaluates and implements new and existing educational, cultural and community-building programs for Vaughn College students. She also oversees and advises all student clubs and organizations. Amy also works as the primary liaison to the First Year Experience facilitators to support programming specifically targeted to first and second year students.

Background:
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Queens College in Flushing, New York. Amy is also working on her Masters of Education degree from Touro University International.

Interesting Fact:
Prior to coming to Vaughn, Amy coached at Dartmouth College with the Women's Basketball team which won an Ivy League Title and made an appearance in the WNIT. Amy has a love of all sports and in College played on the University of Vermont America East Championship team that went to the NCAA.


Ruth Santiago
Assistant Director of Residential Life

Role in Student Affairs:
Ruth oversees the Resident Advisor staff, residence hall, and all residential students.

Background:
Ruth has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication Arts from The College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY. Ruth is also working on her Masters of Business Administration degree from Lynn University.

Interesting Fact:
Ruth is an avid watcher of New York sports especially the Mets, Giants, Rangers, and Knicks. She also loves playing video games and is an electronics aficionado.


Neil Gouveia
Assistant Director, Public Affairs

Role in Career Services:
Neil assists in finding new grants that might be eligible for Vaughn College. Neil also updates the web portal on a regular basis and serves as the campus photographer during such events as commencement, convocation, spring fest and open houses.

Background:
Neil earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Journalism from St. John's University

Interesting Fact:
Prior to working at Vaughn College, Neil worked as a journalist at FOX News and Dateline NBC. In his spare time he enjoys boxing and visiting South Beach.


Jelena Nemaric
Grants Management Assistant

Role in Student Affairs:
Jelena keeps track of the expenditures made from three of Vaughn's multi-million dollar grants. She also searches for new grant opportunities and helps out with alumni affairs.

Background:
Jelena holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in History from Fordham University.

Interesting Fact:
Prior to coming to Vaughn College, Jelena worked at WFUV- Fordham University's radio station as a membership assistant and tutored children in grades 1-5 at a local public school.
